We’re smitten with anything that Audra, founder of Girl Meets Dirt, concocts and this delicious jar of jam made us completely swoon. Tart Gravenstein apples cut the sweetness in this deeply caramelized and slightly salted apple preserve. Audra did what few are brave enough to do: She uprooted her life in NYC and moved to a stunning little island called Orcas in the NW tip of Washington state in order to fulfill her lifelong dream of tending a garden and making jam. We flip for her beautifully designed pastel labels, too. Did we mention we’re smitten?
Tip of the tongue
This salted caramel spread is great with soft, creamy cheeses. Try serving some alongside pork chops or tossing half the jar in the pan for the last few minutes of cooking. Or spoon it right at out the jar for some caramel apple on a stick state fair nostalgia.
