Mayana chocolate-making extraordinaires Daniel and Tamara Herskovic thought of everything when they concocted this all-inclusive bar. It presses all of our buttons and, boy, do we have a lot of ‘em.
A sweet and salty foundation of peanut butter, pretzels, crisped rice and milk chocolate lay the groundwork for a swath of fleur de sel caramel. A dunk in 66% dark chocolate finishes a job decadently done. It’s reminiscent of a TAKE5, but with a more grown-up shade of chocolate and none of the fake stuff that the childhood favorite has.
Suffice it to say, if this bar actually contained the kitchen sink, we’d eat it. Thankfully it doesn’t, so we’ll just stand over the kitchen sink to devour it, tall glass of milk within reach.
TIP OF THE TONGUE
For a dessert that’s low on effort but high on reward, buy an assortment of Mayana’s bars and cut each into quarters. Arrange them on a pretty plate or cutting board and you’ll make the mouths you feed very, very happy.
